ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA

LONDON ,22nd October.

It is stated that, tho hull and tho framework of the airship being built under the .direction of Commander Burney. M.P., and which may be used in tho England-Australia service, lias been completed and the installation of the passenger accommodation commenced. The 15 gasbags which will fill in the sections of the framework' have almost been finished, and it is hoped that-the ship will be ready for a trial in tho spring of 1928, or at .the latest in the summer.

Research work is continuing, and if it is completed in time, heavy oil enfiines will bo installed, instead of the Rolls Royce engines now being fitted;'to enable the most.speedy construction..
