ENGINEERS’ STRIKE

WORK TO BE RESUMED

SYDNEY, 22nd August. A meeting of striking engineers decided to accept the terms proposed by Mr Justice Beebv, and work will be resumed to-morrow.

Other features of the dispute will he gone into at later sittings of the Arbitration Court.

Engineers have agreed to return to work conditionally on all the strikers being reinstated to their former positions. The men. are influenced by the fact that Mr Justice Beobv refused to hear an application for a variation of the award until work is resumed.
