WEDDING

GLENDINING—BRICE

A great deal of interest was occasioned by the marriage at .Bisliopdale Chape? last evening of Stuart Robert, soft of Mrs T. I?. Glendining, of Wellington, and Gretchen, daughter of Mr and Mrs Sidney Brice, “The V>rae,” Nelson. The ceremony was performed by the Right Rev. the Bishop of Nelson', the pretty little chapel being crowded with the relatives and close personal friends of the contracting parties. The bride, who was given away by her father, was* charmingly attired in a dress of silver broclic lace. The bridesmaids, Miss Morv (llendiiiing. Miss Mollie Brice and Miss Diana Dickerson (god-daughtei of the bride) were dressed in primrose tnlfela and gold lace, ami carried mulls. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Robert Jones as best man. The chape.' bad been beautilnllv deeorated bv lln*; friends of the bride. Airs Sadliei played the voluntary hymn “Oh Perfect Cove” and the “Wedding Alareli” as th<-newly-married couple left the chapel amid showers of confetti.

The presents received were numerous' and beautiful, emphasising the esteem in which the In-ide and bridegroom are held.

Following the ceremony, a largely attended reception was held at “The Brae,” where the usual toasts were duly honoured. Cater in the evening a very large number of guests participated in a dance at the Velma. Hall, the appearance of the bride and bridegroom being greeted with musical honours. The function was of the happiest description, and concluded shortly after 1 a.in. with hearty cheers for the host and hostess.
