MEAT PRODUCERS' BOARD
ELECTION OF PRODUCERS' REPRESENTATIVES
An advertisement appears in our advertising columns dealing with the election of three Producers' Representatives on the New Zealand Meat Producers Board.
The Regulations under which the election is conducted provide that the various districts shall elect twenty-five delegates who will constitute an electoral committee which will assemble in August and elect the producers' representatives. The number of delegates and the boundaries of the various districts are set out in the advertisement. The latest official sheep returns (which at present are those at 30th April 1926) shall be the electoral roll. Every sheepowner on this list having one hundred sheep or over shall be entitled to vote for delegates to the electoral committee. Nominations for delegates on the electoral committee or for producers' representatives may be made by any two sheepfarmers appearing on'the official sheep returns as' owning not less than one hundred sheep. Forms of nominations are obtainable at the Board's Office, Wellington'. Nominations for producers' representatives on the Board will be received at the Board's Office. Wellington, up to noon on the Ist July, 1927, whilst nominations for delegates to the electoral committee will be. received up to noon on the 13th July, 1927.
In accordance with the provisioos of the Meat Export Control Act, the members of the Board who are to retire in August, are Messrs 11. D. Ac-land, Christchuvch; J. S. Jessep, Wairoa, and Wrn. Perry, Mastert.on. These gentle men offer themselves for re-election ft« producers' representatives on the Board.
