ROCKS ROAD MENACE
RATEPAYERS' MEETING
Attention is drawn to the advertisement by the Mayor in this issue convening a meeting of ratepayers at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday next at 7.30 p.m. in connection with the. Rocks Road menace. A resolution will be moved at the meeting requesting the local Government Loans Board to authorise the raising of a special loan of not exceeding £SOOO without the necessity of taking a poll of the ratepayers for the purpose of carrying out work of removing nil danger from slipping of the cliffs on the Rocks Road. Having in view the urgency of immediate action being taken to ensure the safety of passengers along the road and to its being a matter which affects: the citizens generally it is parr ticularly requested that a- good attendance of ratepayers from all parts of the city be present at the meeting.
