TRAINING AT ELLERSLIE (By Telegraph—Special to "The Mail”) f , AUCKLAND, 6t)i June. The weather was fine though a cold wind prevailed during training operations at Eller,slie this morning, in view of the conclusion of the Auckland Racing Club’s Great Northern meeting on Wednesday. Tho track has dried considerably, and promises to he really good providing no' rain falls in the meantime.

Bennaneo ran six furlongs, completing the journey in 1.22 3-5. Day Guard sprinted five furlongs, taking 1.6 to cover the distance. Wyoming and Gold Jacket, appeared to go well over seven furlongs, hut were not timed.

• High Pitch completed five furlongs in

Nadarino and Archeen went off slowly from the five furlong post, and ran home in 1.7 4-5.

' Hoariri sprinted three furlongs in 38 3-5. Ballymoy covered six furlongs, taking 1.20 4.-5.

Cantab wept with Black Cruiser over seveq furlongs, taking 1.23 for the last six furlongs. Antrim Roy was ahead of Adjustor over five furlongs, which occupied 1.7 2-5.

Cawnpore was a. shade Letter than White Bird over five furlongs, which they ran in 1.7.

Lord Star and Royal Abbey were on terms over seven furlongs, the last six taking 1.24. York Abbey was not bustled to' run four furlongs in 55. Quincoma was going better than Royal Mint qver six furlongs in 1.22. Automne went 6 furlongs in 1.23. Furore joined him at the 4 furlong post and ran home in 55 1-5. Potoanui ran six furlongs in 1.28 2-5. Kendal went over a similar journey, taking 1.25 i-5. Llewellyn traversed a round, taking 2.15 3-5.

Jumpers: Potoanui (Mcßae) negotiated four schooling hurdles, giving a fair display. King Comet (Burgess) was also schooled, and got through his task safely. Mount Marta (Gordon) and Glenlight (Anderson) started off together over the steeplechase fences on the flat. They negotiated the sod wall safely, but at the water jump, Glenlight ran down the obstacle and crashed over the wing, turning a complete somersault. Mount Marta cleared this jump well, but. was ridden very slorvly at tne next obstacle (the stone wall). 'He just climbed on to it, and was suspended midway over it. Re eventually scrambled off, and on being taken back again, lie jumped this fence well.
