.PARIS, 27th Dec. The newspapers give prominence to the fact that the Bank of France is equally willing to buy or sell an unlimited amount of sterling at 122{- francs to the pound. This is interpreted to mean that the Government is preparing for legal stabilisation at this figure. This is no,t true, but the Government is anxious to prevent speculation in forcing francs above 120 to the pound as being detrimental 'to trade.
