NEW YORK, 27th Dec. Commenting on the deaths from alcoholic poisoning during the Christmas holidays, Dr. 'Charles Norris, chief medi•aal ftxamineir at Brooklyn Hospital, charged the Government with moral responsibility, because this liquor was purposely poisoned to render it impossible to drink, while the Government at the same time knew that the bootleggers constantly distilled the poison out of it. He added that the bootleggers are rushed to death and do not give sufficient time for the poison to steep out. The Government well knew that it was not stopping drinking by placing poison in alcohol.
