HON. K. S. WILLIAMS
CIVIC RECEPTION AND DEPUTA .TIONS
The Hon. K. S. Williams, Minister of Public Works, was to arrive in Nelson this afternoon from Murchison.
Several deputations, including one from the Nelson Provincial Progress League, are to wait on the Minister in regard to matters affecting the district. A civic reception to the Minister was also arranged for. '
The Minister will leave for Wellington this evening.

The Minister for Public Works and party arrived here from Westport at 5.30 yesterday, and in the evening met the County Council. Mr. A. G. Monahan, chairnian, stated the district’s petition very clearly and received a sympathetic hearing. The Minister is viewing the flood damage this morning and proceeds to 1 Nelson this afternoon.
