WAETEA DESTROYED
(By Tel.-Special to "The Mail.") WELLINGTON, 14th ,Oct. Followers of racing will learn with regret that the injuries received by that game little mare Waetea on a rough trip in' th e Maori, have necessitated her destruction. Mr W. 11. Ballinger, her owner, secured the best skill available in an endeavour to save the Kilbroney mare, but from the outset there was little hope, and she was put out of her misery.
