NORTH POLE
A FRENCH AERIAL EXPEDITION (By Electric. Telegraph—Copyright.) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) (Rec. Sept. 8, 10.10 n.m.) PARIS, Sept. 6. A French naval officer, Lieut. Durcis, will shortly try to reach the North Pole by means of motor sledges and two sn\all 40 horse power aeroplanes. The expedition will probably leave Havre for Point Barrow, Alaska, on 'l6th September.
