LEATHERHEAD CRASH
EVIDENCE .IT INQUEST Milieu Prtidi Association (Received Sept. 7, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 6 The inquest revealed that the woman passenger m the atroplane smash at Leathcrhead was not Leavey's wife, but Mrs Stallard, wife of ITighf-Lipuloiiant St ill lard. The coroner inquired whether the husband was present arid Stallard stepped forward. Answering.* the. coroner liesaid lie was satisfied it was his wife, but did not wish to say more. A graphic story was related bv Sidney Clieeseman, an eyewitness of the. crash. lie helped to remove Keen, who was then alive, from the wreckage. Keene told witness that lie wanted to jump out, but the ethers prevented him. ‘‘Then he asked me to kill him ns he was suffering agony. Amidst the wreckage I saw the charred bodies of Leaver and the woman, who appeared to be in close cm brace.'*
