That Trafalgar Park will be a popular 1 rendezvous on Saturday next, is assured by the extensive nature of the gymkhana, every item of which will provide fun and amusement. Tire programme will commence at (tie Park at 2.30 try the running off of the preliminaries for the amateur athletic events, in order that- this section" may have a clear field for their events. Prior to this time, the procession from tire Church Steps will have assembled, and led by three bands, the fancy dress participants will give an indication of the fun to be anticipated when those taking part in the various burlesque items arrive at the Park, lit addition to the items of interest already announced, ladies representing tlie linns of Messrs McKay and Sons-and- lL- Trarhen and Co. will play a fancy dress cricket match and the Iren Duke Sea Smuts, will render items in good sailor style. The finals of the nlaee-kicking competition for the Bonn Clip, organised hv the officials of the-Rugby Union, will take place at 3 p.nr. By special permission i f \||- A. Douglas, headmaster of the Central School, the-new drum ami life band of the school will lead the junior members in 11"' procession. There will be a full array of stalls arranged bv Mrs Rock (Mayoress) and the ladies' committee. and a number of most interesting side* shows, some new and novel. Ai tc-n-etlier a most, enjoyable afternoon’s amusement for voting and old is assured.
