WAKAPUAKA

FARMERS’ UNION A meeting of the Wakapuaka Fanners' Union was held at the Foresters’ Hall, wlien the organiser, Mr 0. C. \\ ilkinson, ateuded and addressed (lie meeting on matters of importance to the farming community. The address was a very good one, but owing to the very short notice, was not very well attended. At tlie close of the address questions were asked and satisfactory answers given. If the farmers of those districts which the organiser has yet to visit will get out. of their conservative wavs, writes “Farmer,” and attend those meetings and hear what lie has to say, it is quite certain that those who stand off and say, “What good is the organisation doing?” would, instead, join up, and so help the cause of their own industry. A very hearty vole of thanks was accorded the speaker and a hope expressed that he would come again.
