STOLEN CHURCH TREASURES
FOUND BURIED AND SMASHED
(Ity Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian & N.Z Cable Association.) PARIS, Aug. 5. Shameful destruction was revealed when some children playing in a field near Glory unearthed part of treasures stolen from the Church.
The thieves evidently found the tabernacle too heavy to carry off, so they smashed it with a.hammer and discarded portions. They also left the pyx and cross.
