The correspomlenco included a hitter from the district secretary with an acceptance of the offer to hold the District Con vent ion in lticlimmid in September, when Mrs T. E. Taylor, Christchurch, would be present on the, Bth. A circular from the Dominion secretary, drawing attention to various resolutions passed at tluV Convention, was also read, and also the resolutions .l-’om the Handbook hy tho secretary. • Accounts for payment were passed as follows: —Subscription of sf* for the Headway, the official organ of the League, of Nations. hive shillings was also donated to the. New’ Zealand Treasury as White Itihbon Day collection. A discussion took place with regard to the District Convention in September. The President agreed to ask for the use of the Anglican Schoolroom, It was also agreed that the. members provide lunch for the delegates at the ordinary charges. As is usual iri other places, it was decided to provide the ladies of the Baptist and Methodist Churches to provide, morning and afternoon tea for the delegates. The president read a letter from I lie district president, asking a convenient dale for Mrs Perryman to hold meetings in Richmond. It was agreed to submit the afternoon of July 20th for a public meeting, and the evening of the same day for a meeting for young people. The secretary was .instructed to write a letter of sympathy (,o Mrs (!. S. Haycock in her bereavement.
Miss Dyson gave an interesting and practical paper on “The aims and work of the W.C.T.U.”, for which she was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. 'liie meeting concluded by the president pronouncing the Benediction,
