PRESENTATION TO COURT OFFICIAL On Thursday hist the members of the Nelson Magistrate's Court stall' gathered in the Court-room to bid farewell to Mr A. H. Louisson, who is leaving Nelson, having boeu transferred to the Magistrate's Court, Wellington. Light refreshments were provided and a pledeaiffc hour was spent . Mr Mitchell presided, and the proceedings were opened by Mr Muncaster, who proposed the toast of the Justice Department. This was responded to by Mr Cobb, who is to take Mr Louisson's placo ■ The next toast, "Kindred Offices," coupled with the ' name of Mr Louisson, was proposed by Mr Clarke, who stressed the fact that members of the Justice Department wero. always made welcome at other Courts when on holiday or transfer Kir Louisson ably responded to the toast, endorsing; fchcj remarks of the Conner speaker. Mr Clarke then rendered a selection from "Faust." Mr Mitchell proposed the toast of the evening, "The health ot Mr Louisson.'-.' The speaker commented on the fact that Mr Louisson had been under him for six_ years out of his eight or nine years* service. He then presented Mr Louisson with four handsomely hound books by It L. Stevenson, and wished him a good trip and a prosperous future. Mr Louisson then suitably replied, thanking the sta fffor their gift, and expressing his regret at leaving such a congenial office. Air Cussen proposed the health ol the newcomer, and this was responded to by Mi- Cobb. Mr Mitchell then gave a humorous recitation, which kept the gathering in fits of laughter. .
