AUCKLAND, This Day In the Supreme Court John Ewart who pleaded guilty to-forgery at Papakura while in the employ of a bank, was sentenced to he detained at Waikeria for reformative treatment not exceeding two years. Mr Justice Stringer said prisoner was a young unmarried man with a fair education and considerable ability ,arid was in a position of trust. He received, a substantial salary. He stole from the employers a considerable sum and fleu from New Zealand with the proceeds of his dishonesty. His crime was designed and deliberate and carried into effect; by, very, crafty forgery,
