The jioliee gave evidence that accused admitted pbieing burning sacks under the building, but denied that he in tended doing any harm. The hearing is proceeding of a charge of assault, and an arson charge is t> follow. PALMERSTON N., This Day. Ernest Tninwha Sutherland, on additional charges of assault and arson arising out of the Awa'huri sensation, was eonimitted for trial.
