ALLEGED FRAUD

(United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Ernest Alfred Akins, manager of Andrew Lees. Ltd., has been committed for trial on a charge of attempting to obtain money by fraud by alleging that certain paint was of a higher quality than it really was. Counsel for accused said Akins had been manager for twenty years, and the witnesses included men who had been discharged, one of whom bore a grudge against Akins. Bail was allowed.
