MOTOR CAR DESTROYED

ENGINE BACK-FIRES A few days ago- a practically new Maxwell -Chrysler motor ear, owned by Mr A. Coleman, i*f lied wood's Valley, was destroyed by fire. Mr Coleman was proceeding to Hope, having on hoard several cases of benzine. Suddenly the engine back-fired and the motor broke into a sheet of flame and was soon destroyed. It is considered that some of the tins were leaking and that the fumes exploded as the result of 1 lit* backfiring. 'Flic i;ii- was insured for £3OO in the Alliance office.
