PLUNK KT SOCIETY llii* monthly meeting of the Blanket Society took place on Wednesday, 6lh 'January, there being present Mesdames Wallace'(president), R. P. Hudson, A. Rowling, Stevens. Ferry, Dudley, Markay. Cut forth, Miss Jordan and .Miss D. Morrison (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Talbot and Stewart. After the usual business had been dealt with, ..Mrs Hudson, who- was .Motu. elms' delegate to the interim general conference in Dunedin, gave tin interesting account of the meeting and, on concluding, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Discussion re the Pltmket Gala Day followed and various members were appointed to take charge of stalls. It- was proposed that a men’s committee be set up to run the sports. Arrangements to make the day a pleasant and enjoyable one for all are now well in band.
