PROMISE OF FINE WEATHER

Indications point to fine weather fur the New Year holidays. The chief outdoor attraction in town will he the Cell tre bowling tournament which will commence to-morrow i?ii Ibe Nelson green, when full rink games will be played. On Saturday pairs matches will lie played on both the Nelson and Maitai greens.

At Motueka the Caledonian sports will be held to-morrow.

On Saturday the Waimea sports will be held at Appleby. The annual Sunday School picnic in connection with St. John's Church will ta,o> place at Bright-water. The Evening Mail will not he pub lis-hed to-morrow.
