ARAHURA AGAIN HELD UP

BY OBSTINATE FIREMAN

For the second time this week the Arahura has been delayed owing to troublesome firemen. The first occasion was c.i Monday, when one was arrested and locked up, and, together with another member of the stokehold crew, was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment at the Court this morning . mi various charges. Last evening the boat was delayed for threcquarters of an hour owing to a fireman refusing to go aboard as the vessel was about to depart for Wellington. All efforts to persuade the man to go aboard were fruitless and eventually another fireman had to be obtained. Earlier in the evening the fireman had expressed his intention that he would not ship as he was not satisfied with the treatment received by his companion on Monday evening.
