PEKIN, October 26.
Tuan Chijui opened the tariff conference. Two thousand students demonstrated and demanded admission. Upon relusal they attacked the police with •Micks and stones. Thirty police were injured anil sent to the hospital. iSome students were also injured and others a.eri'st oil. Order was restored. Tuan ( hijui s address of welcome to the delegates consisted chiolly of a demand for tariff aiitnmnnv.
