The- Daily Express says Ilia( the visit of Lord Ashmore to Gibraltar again raises the question of whether, assuming that Spain is willing, Britain should cede The Rock in exchange. Experts point out that Gibraltar is no longer a secure base, for modern Howitzers firing from the Spanish mainland could prevent ships entering the harbour.
