LONDON, July 21
The Daily Herald understands thatsteps were taken late last night to enable. the Prime Alinister to get into personal touch with the leaders of the miners and coal owners.
Air Cook, in a- statement in the Herald, says that if the owners informed the miners that the proposals were withdrawn a meeting could be arranged forthwith.
