MELBOURNE, July 20

A fire at S. B. Ham's, Ltd la bool factory in tiie city caused £6OOO damage. Shortly after the brigade’s arrival the concrete parapet of the building collapsed, falling on three firemen. F. tininess, aged 31, was killed instantaneously ; and Albert McHenry and Herbert Gillj were injured and sent to hos pilal. Holness is the first member of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade to be killed while fighting a fire' in. Melbourne. Two other firemen narrowly escaped the falling wall.
