Tin* wool sales wore resumed after a suspension of nearly three months. There was a full atleiulaiiee of buyers and a strong market ruled for all best Merino descriptions at prices showing an advnneo of 5 to 7A per cent, on previous sales. All other Merino descriptions, as well as comebacks and crossbreds, showed no change. Greasy Merino sold to 32]jd, comebaek and crossbreds 19R1.
I’he crows of all the inter-State steamers arriving at the weekend gave notice, and the whole waterfront is now idle. Both.' sides have suspended further action pending the result of Tuesday's conference at Melbourne. MELBOURNE, This Day.
Both parties in the shipping dispute held a. conference finalising plans for a joint conference on Tuesday, whereat it is expected nil agreement to end the trouble will be reached.
