July 19 The judge at Dayton agreed to accept affidavits giving the outline of the scientific evidence on evolution tor the purpose of completing the record oi the ease on appeal to the higher court. Ihe proceedings adjourned till Monday, when all that remains to be done is to hear argument and sentence Slopes. 'I lie judge wanted to have his picture taken with Bryan on one side and Darrow on the other, but Darrow sourly declined.
