The American tobacco industry this year will pay more iti taxes than was c> I-lectc-il by the Government from all internal revenue sources prior to 1914. declares Commissioner Blair, who e.-ii mates that the tax collections from this one industry alone this year would approximate 515.C00.000 dollars. For every man .woman and child in the United States there was collected 3 dollars 12 cents from tobacco taxes and custom?, duties.
