W./ Collat'd holds jurisdiction be subdivided, and at least one other instructor be appointed.” “That the regulations regarding the use of certain cases of pears for local market be relaxed during the stone fruit season.” “That the question of advantage in using American size case as against our standard case size should be tried out to ascertain if there would be any advantage gained by changing.” “That containers holding spraying material shall clearly show the analysis of tile contents/ “’That the Government be asked to make provision for a guaranteed analysis with all spraying materials.” “That the federation send a report of tlie proceedings of conference .to all taxpavers holding five acres' or more.” The Departemnt is to be asked to undertake a definite policy of orchard experimental workA request also is to be made to the Department that it investigate the possibilities of manufacturing refined sulphur from New Zealand deposits. It was agreed that a scheme be developed whereby poor quality fruit can be utilised so that it, is not placed on the open markets'. The following remit also was approved : “That the Nurserymen's Association be urged by the Minister of Agriculture, to propagate walnuts (varieties to be approved by the Horticulture Division) on tlie Californian black walnut in view of its alleged immunity to bac terms is.”
A tribute was paid to tlie excellent, work ot the president, Mr T. C. Crush, and lie was granted an honorarium of £25.
