There were numerous deaths from the heat, and 113 eases of collapse in London streets. Work in the iron and steel furnaces in the Midlands was seriously affected. London is eating 200,C00 gallons of ice cream daily. ALL EUROPE AFFECTED LONDON, June 11. London is sweltering with the temperature at 84 degrees in the shade. It is the hottest June in eight years. The heat extended throughout the whole of Europe. There have been many seizures and deaths in steaming cities.
