With : the Church Assembly’s approval an Overseas Settlement Council has been formed is order that, all the moral and material forces of the Church of Engine! at home and abroad may bo placed at the disposal of official and other organisations engaged .in migration. The. council will, if needed, help migrants financially, provide’ for their recepton and after care anil supply letters of introduction. It was announced at USo League of Nations Union irfteting at London that Colonel David Davies, a member of the House of Commons, , had promised £6,500, spread over 6£- years, to bo devoted mainly to the work of the union in the Dominions.
