NELSON FOOTBALL CLUB
The annual meeting of the Nelson Football Club was held at Air F. Hare’s Rooms, Bridge street. There were present : Air W. Reed (in the chair) and 25 members.
The annual report was read and adopted. It was as follows.--—Your commit tee begs to present the annual report of 1924 the 54th year of the Club's existence. In presenting this wo have to report a most successful season. The senior team were again successful in winning the senior eup. This is the fourth team in succession in which they have been victors and are to be most heartily congratulated on their splendid performance. The committee again wishes to draw attention to the decided lack of interest shown in the lower grade teams. . These players are looked upon to l fill the ranks of th senior teams later on and members should do all they can to foster these grades.—Scven-a-side: The senior seven were again Successful in winning tii-eir competition on June 3rd, the fifth team in succession. The senior seven also were successful in winning the seven on the first Monday in August, and are to be congratulated on their performances. —Representative matches: The Club was again well represented in representative games, r.o fewer than eight members being included. Alessrs Reid and Snoware to be congratulated on being included in the trial games for selection iri the All Black team. r i h e Club also wishes to congratulate Afr W.
