PREPARING FOR NEXT YEAR WORK ENDING LONDON, Dec. I. It is stated that an Anglo-Australian pilgrimage to Gallipoli, by the liner Ormonde, is being arranged for Anzac Day. Colonel Hughes, who was in charge of the war graves corps at Gallipoli, has returned to London. He informed the War Graves Commission that the work at Gallipoli had been completed, except for small horticultural and other details, and that from April a staff of only two would be required to safe- * guard the graves, tend the gardens and assist visitors. It is almost impossible, Colonel Hughes says, to visit Gallipoli at present, because Turkish boats from Constantinople are not calling at Chanak. The relations between Britain and Turkey are steadily improving,-and within Bix months the Turkish attitude toward foreigners should be the same as before the war. '•
