Fav Compton, the ‘popular London actress, and Constaniee Binney. the American film star, head the cast. “His Wife’s Husband” is a thrilling society drama, with n. touch of mystery as keen in its suspense as the famous play, “The Bat.” Betty Blythe is (lie lead. Constance Binney shares the honours wit h Fay Compton in the Master Picture version of “The Bill of Divorcement.”

Snub Pollard is .seen at bis funniest in “Before the Public.” In this comedy, Snub plays the part of an unpopular entertainer in a small town picture theatre. German productions are showing signs of revolt against realism,'and in.: beginning of an apprecaton of beauty. In fact, several Berlin firms

have made overtures to Betty Balfour to star in their productions. Miss Balfour is Britain’s own particular star. Her next Master Picture to be screened is “Squbs, M.P.” “Daddies,” a forthcoming Master Picture, promises to be very amusing. The star*- tells of the expediences of four bachelor, who adopt babies as a means of paying their dept to their country.

Johnny Hines in. “Sure Eire Flint” is a sure hit. Th comedy .starts off with a laugh when Flint- is* born'tin the celebrated Fourth of July. It comes with a shock to some of us to learn that our favourite daring screen heroes often engage doubles” to perform the deeds that win our ad-

miration. Ben Turpin turns our dis- ' appointment into mirth in “The Daredevil,” or “Why >Serals Aren't'Serious.” He plays the part of a cowboy, who has to “double” for the hero in the thrilling and “unpleasant” situations. “The Breath of Scandal,’ ’a forthcoming Master play, has now been completed. The cast includes • Betty Blythe, Lou Tellegen, Patsy Ruth Miller, Forrest Stanley, Jack Millhall, -Myrtle Steadman .and Phylis Haver. The New York paper, the Sunday News, recenty put the qtiestion, “Who is the most fascinating man in the world?” to a jury of twelve prominent women. The verdict placed the Prince of Wales first, and John Barrymore, the star iry “Beau Brnmmel” second.
