LONDON, Oct. 1 The miners’ executive and Mr MacDonald had a long (Conference on the question of the effects of the Dawes scheme on the coal mining industry. The miners urged that settlement of reparations in coal should be discontinued, the industry already being in a state of jeopardy w'itli 100,000 men worklcss. Mr MacDonald replied that the ministry had accepted the Dawes plan and could not now modify it. ■ ’ -
