ROCK GARDEN

Mr W. Laidlaw, director of the INlelbourne Botanic Gardens, writes as follows to Mr Wilkinson, secretary of the Nelson Rock Garden Society:—“ln reply to your letter, lam pleased;to help your Society and am. forwarding per s.s. Moeraki a box containing 26 species of alpines for the new rock garden you are making in Nelson. The Society is also indebted to Mr F. H. Richmond for a number of New Zealand natives procured from his Blenheim run.
