OTTAWA, Aug. -13. A message from Toronto says, that Dr. Ivy Mackenzie, neurologist at Glasgow University, stated at a meeting cf the British Association that surgery had reached the stage where severed nerves could he spliced. Surgeons ..were able to join nerves in case of damage, i In such operations it was impossible to join cut. ends so that the exactly corresponding nerve fibre would grow together again, hut it was found, that- precision was unnecessary for. the success of repair.
