Cr. W. J. Moffatt. has. been re-elected the City Council's representative on the Board of .Managers of the Technical School.
Professor Easlerfield, Director of the Gawthron Institute, is attending a meeting of the Institute of Horticultuio in Wellington next week. He will also give a lecture at- Palmerston North on tho Cawthron Institute, at. the request of the Palmerston North Borough Council.
Last, evening tlie staff of E. Buxton and Co., Ltd., presented Mr F. W. Hamilton, managing director, who leaves to-night for England, with a. handsome suit ease, suitably inscribed. Mi C. A Rcdworth. senior member of the staff, voiced the esteem of the employees and wished Mr and Mrs Hamilton a pleasant vovage and success on his business mis cion Mi* Hamilton suitably replied.
