LONDON, Jul- 29. V Owing to, torrential rains the South African fourth test match was abandoned. In tho abandoned South Africa test Tate took three wickets for 34 and Dick Tyldesley one for 11. Rain generally interfered with play in county cricket contests* and a number of matches were abandoned. For Kent against Leicester Woolley made 141 and Seymour 80 not out. Ashdown took four wickets for 13; Freeman 4 for 28.

For Yorkshire against Glamorgan Maoauley took 4 for 37 and Waddington 4 for 17.
