In the current Gazette is the following regulation : —Every place used for, or in connection with, the sale or manufacture of food shall have properly constructed n ails, ' floors, and roofs, which shall bo kept clean and in good repair, and shall bo lighted and ventilated in accordance with the by-laws, or tv the satisfaction of the inspector of health. Tiro building shall at alj times bo kept clean, free from foul odours, and, so far as practicable, free from rats, mice, insects, and other vermin, and no place shall he so used which i s at any time used as a sleeping .apartment," or in which any animal is kept, or which is or has been used for any purpose which -would he likely to contaminate such food or to affect, injuriously its wholesomeness or cleanliness.
