THE CHURCHES

Special missionary services will be conducted in the Congregational Church both morning and evening by Miss Hilda Small. A solo will be given by Alts Jury. At St. John's Methodist Church the Rev. H. L. Blamires will conduct the services. The morning subject will be “Wells of Song and Salvation.” The evening address will be on “The Sermon on the Mount—The Prayer that teaches to Pray.” The Vicar will preach at both services at All Saints, Vanguard Street, to-morrow. In the morning, the subject wiU.be “Light in Darkness” and in the evening, “Oh that- I knew where I .might find him.” Miss Agnes Dodds is the soloist at Trinity Presbyterian Church' to-morrow night. She will sing, “Com© Unto Me.” Rev. J. McNeill will preach at all the services. At 11 a.m. the subject is: “The Heavenly Visitors.” A’t. 6.30 p.m. the subject is “Men Who Shirk Their Responsibilities.” A short service will be held at Tahuna commencing at 2.30 o'clock. To morrow the services at the Church of Christ will be interesting, instructive and helpful. At 11 a.m.( meeting for worship, 3 p.m.., men’s Bible class rally and tea; speaker, Rev. J. McNeill; 6.30 p.m. people’s popular service, subject, “Missing the Goal.” All men especially invited, preacher, Mr W. Or. Carpenter. The Rev. E. T. Jones of Richmond will conduct the service in the Baptist Church to-morrow morning. At the evening service the Rev. J. Laird will preach on “Daniel at the Open Windows today.” All sittings are free. The bright happy Gospel Services being conducted by Captains Montgomery and Duggan are attracting good congregations at the Salvation Army Citadel, Waimea-street. The congregational singing is specially' good, song sheets being provided for this purpose. To-morrow special addresses will, he given by both. officers. At 11 a.m. tile subject null bo “The World Knows” ; at 7 p.m., “The Only Fly in the Ointment” is the subject announced. Strangers and non-clmrch-goers will he made welcome at any of the four services advertised.
