RUGBY FOOTBALL
ALL BLACKS TOUR
(United Press Association.)
WELLINGTON; This Day At. a meeting of the N.K.R.U. an amended list- of fixtures for the All Black tour was tabled, but it does not. materially depart from the list already published. Efforts to get the match against England played earlier have failed. The English Union says that owing to local conditions and the custom of playing trial matches it cannot possibly pick a team earlier, ancl as it is will have to abandon one trial match. It points out that the New Zealanders arc starting before the regular season begins, and to place an 'English match earlier would mean selecting the team on last year’s form.
The Union discussed the question of a. final match in New Zealand, and although there was much division of opinion as to the desirability of such a game it was decided to play it in'Wellington on July 26th, the day the team leaves for England. Nothing was decided as to the team to he pitted against them.
