LONDON, Juno 24. The South Africans with 336 and 275 for 5 wickets defeated Hampshire 279 and 330, after att exciting finish with a few minutes to spare. Hampshire in the second innings scored 330 (Fowler 50, Brown 60, Newman GO) Bissett took five wickets for 102. . South Africa, an the second tunings scored 275 for five wickets (Taylor 93, Susskind 44). The South Africans won by five wickets. Taylor played a magnificent innings, and gave no chances. He batted 133 minutes and hit eleven fours. An exciting fight ended in the visitors winning with a few minutes to spare.
