INCREASED NEW ZEALAND PREFERENCE (United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr Massey intends when Parliament meets to' submit, proposals to increase above the present rate of 25 per cent the proportion of British manufacture in goods before they may become entitled, as far as New Zealand is concerned, to the preferential tariff. Mr Massey says he is aware that the existing rate had been decided on as an Empire policy, but there was no reason why New Zealand should not take the .lead in improving the position of British manufacturers. .. -
