BELGIAN BANDITS
TEN SENTENCED TO DEATH
’ (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Ct-ble Association.) BRUSSELS, April 4. The trial has concluded at Ghent of thirty-nine bandits whose rounding up occupied two years. The charges against them were, murder and highway robbery. The victims were mostly wealthy people whom they attacked in motor cars. Ten of the accused were S'i! fenced to death, seven to penal servitude for life, and others to from twelve to twenty years’ impUßOnment.
