EMPIRE THEATRE

'‘MY WILD ,IRISH ROSE”

Pauline Starke and Pat O'Malley head the cast. A special part lias been written into tho story for “Micky” Daniels who made such a hit in Vitagraph s “The Little Minister” as Micah Dow. 11l “My Wild Irish Rose” Daniels is cast ns the young brother of Moya, a, character taken by Pauline Starke, lie will also be the nephew of bather Dolan, whose niece Moya is. This combination of Miss Starke and the freckled little Daniels should prove an exceptionally strong one. The part of Conn, the shaughraun, was given to Pat O’Malley. He proves a typical version in personality ’ of the devil-may-care Irishman, for which the part originally Was written. The story is based upon Dion Boueicault’s famous play “Hie Shaughraun,” and describes the raun as the soul of; every fair, the life” of everv funeral and the first fiddle at all weddings. Unable to find anyone ’ suitable for tho role when the play w;i3 produced in the Drury Lane Theatre in London, and later when it was produced in YVallack’s Theatre, New York, Mr Bouicault assumed the role himself. Mr O’Malley gives the role a characterisation equal to that of Mr Boudicault. Henry Herbert, a player of note, makes a fine Captain Molineaux, a British captain who loses his heart to the beautiful sister of the man he was seeking

to capture. “Timber Queen,” Mack Sennett Comedy, Gaumont Graphic, Paramount Orchestra,- xylophone solo by W r . R. Coxou. Usual prices. Ring 186 early to avoid disappointment.
