MAORIS DROWNED

TWO BROTHERS LOSE LIVES

INVERCARGILL, This Day. The police have been advised ‘that two Maoris, Manna Davis (18) and Patani Davis (11), brothers, were drowned yesterday afternoon. The boat in which they wore crossing the Mataura River at Fortrose capsized through a rough cross wind catching it broadside on. The bodies have been recovered.
